Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation Holds Annual Golf Tournament in Fredonia
What a great day! The Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation held their 27th golf tournament at Fredonia Golf club on Saturday, July 24th. Even though temperatures were in the 80’s and 90’s, we could not have asked for a more perfect day to play 18 holes of golf. Play began at 9 am with nine teams.

The tournament was a four-person scramble with two flights. The winners for A Flight were: 1st Place - the team of Cooper Steiner, Albert Gulick, Isaac Boone, and Kent Marr;

and 2nd Place - the team of Ethan Woodcock, Steve Osborn, Jerry Scott, and Jake Mrkwa.

The winners for B Flight were: 1st Place – the team of Jake Scott, Michael Hatcher, Wally Maples, and Mike Prince

and 2nd Place - the team of Chad Estes, Tyler Pierce, Mike Claus, and Bart Carpenter.

Along with the flights, prizes were handed out for the Longest Drive (which went to Jared Fiscus) and Closet to the Pin (which went to Tyler Pierce). Once again, players could play the “Betcha Can’t Get on the Green” hole game.
Door prizes, some given by local businesses such as Hugo's Industrial Supply, Heartstrings, Wilson County Hair and Spa, and Connie Shiverdecker State Farm were handed out after the tournament wrapped up. Lunch was pulled pork sandwiches and chips catered by AJ's Pitt BBq. Lunch was sponsored of Newkirk, Dennis, & Buckles..

All money raised from the event goes toward the Foundation’s mission of providing quality and affordable homes for our neighbors with intellectual/developmental disabilities in the eight counties of Allen, Bourbon, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson.
