Mission:

Tri-Valley Developmental Services is committed to the ideal that people have the right to
be active within their community. Our mission is to offer a wide range of choices, meeting individual needs, and providing opportunities for persons with disabilities to maximize their potential enabling them to achieve the quality of community life they seek.

Tri-Valley Developmental Services is a nonprofit agency that blends the best values from its past with a progressive spirit toward its future. From its incorporation in 1974 as a center supporting programs for both children and adults with developmental disabilities, TVDS has grown to meet today's challenges.

Tri-Valley is proud to serve citizens of Allen, Bourbon, Neosho, and Woodson counties by maintaining and enhancing the high quality of life which characterizes our communities. Through the services of Tri-Valley, individuals with developmental disabilities become active members of their communities.

Tri-Valley actively supports individuals by helping them realize their opportunities to participate in a community which advocates a quality of life allowing personal dignity, respect, choice, and opportunity. "Helping People Achieve Success" supports a philosophy that emphasizes what people can do.

Tri-Valley seeks to attain these goals by offering a person-centered array of services which wrap around the individual's needs and are personalized for each client. These services reflect the efforts to enable people with developmental disabilities to live, work, and learn in natural, inclusive settings, ideally in their own communities.
