Fort Scott Golf Tournament Results!

What a great day! Saturday, September 12th was a perfect day for the Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation to hold their 2nd Annual Fort Scott Golf Classic. The Tournament was held at the beautiful Woodland Hills Golf Course in Fort Scott. It was fantastic golfing weather; the day started in the 60’s but quickly warmed to 80’s.

Play began at 9 am with 21 teams. Prizes were given out to 1st and 2nd places in A and B Flights. The winners were: A Flight 1st Place went to the team of Steve Carter, Derrick Ash, Trest Steps, and Drew Clark;

A Flight 2nd Place went to the team of Josh Query, Tim Allen, Andrew Defenbaugh, and Cody Pile;

B Flight 1st Place went to the team of Colton Selvey, Dillon Duffy, Joey McDowell, and Dakota Hall;

and B Flight 2nd Place went to the team of Rex Colegrove, Tim Colegrove, Dudley Colegrove, and Ron Williams.

Along with the two flights, prizes were handed out for the Longest Drive which went to Dave Wood and Closest to the Pin which went to Jess Tadtman. Players were also given the opportunity to try their chances with the “Trouble” Hole in One game on hole 11. On hole 2, players also could participate in the Paul Bunyon hole game; in which players move up 150’ yards from the tee box.

At the end of the tournament, door prizes were given out to several lucky golfers. The door prizes included: igloo coolers, umbrellas, ball caps, and Yeti Ramblers courtesy of SEK Financial, gift basket from Sunshine Boutique, grinder and gift bag from Heidrick’s Tru Value, and Gift Certificates to Miller Feed, The Butcher Block, and Grand Country Music Hall in Branson.

All money raised from the event goes toward the Foundation’s mission of providing quality and affordable homes for our neighbors with intellectual/developmental disabilities in the eight counties of Allen, Bourbon, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson.
